A Beautiful Gift
by George W Knox
The clearing of the mist, glistens as dew
sparkling like diamonds upon the morning grass.
An albatross dissects the breeze, whispering on the ocean
cascaded in white against a crimson sun.
Great forests stand proud as sentinels
magnificent yet fragile, protecting the life within.
The heavens gaze earthward with infinite eyes
watching, caring, blinking incessantly
the life force of the universe, yet they pale
into insignificance by the majesty of our own star
it's cloak shrouds us in warmth, giving us life.
These things are wonderful, exquisite, inspiring.
They are among Gods greatest gifts
yet he has not created anything - as beautiful as you.
